Model Overview
Gaia 2 is a 2x upscaling model designed specifically for animation and frame-based sources. Unlike traditional video enhancement models that blend frames for temporal smoothness, Gaia 2 processes each frame independently to preserve the intended look of hand-crafted animation and avoid interpolation artifacts.
It is best suited for increasing the resolution of clean sources such as stop motion, traditional animation, and motion graphics, with secondary use on high-quality live action plates where frame independence is required.
