Is there a maximum processing time for tasks? How is billing handled for timed-out tasks?

The maximum processing time for our models is, generally—

* **\~90 minutes** for GAN image models (e.g. Gigapixel Family)
* **\~20 minutes** for generative image models (e.g. Wonder Family, Bloom Family)
* **\~4 hours** for most GAN video models (e.g. Proteus Family)
* **\~17 hours** for most generative video models (e.g. Starlight Family, Astra Family)

Timeouts are considered failures on our side, so a full refund is issued, typically within 24 hours. Note that the maximum processing timeframes listed above are *estimations* for reference and don't take into account queue time (e.g. image tasks are queued until three attempts are made, and the estimated maximum processing time for those three attempts is 3 hours). We recommend [contacting support](mailto:support@topazlabs.com) for clarification on billing for specific tasks.

If I cancel a job mid-processing, how is billing handled?

If the progress is 0% for the task in question, we issue a full refund. Else, the billing formula is `1.1 * [progress %]`. For example, if a canceled at 50%, then we keep 55% of the credits and refund 45%.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://developer.topazlabs.com/resources/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
