### Model Overview

**Detail Faces** is a specialized enhancement model designed to improve facial detail and realism in AI-generated images. It restores natural texture in skin, eyes, and hair while reducing artificial smoothness, producing sharper, more lifelike results without compromising the subject’s identity.

**Model-Specific Parameters**

* `detail_strength` — decimal between 0 and 10, default 6.0

This model works best on large images, where the *face* in the input image is at least is 512 x 512 pixels. For smaller images, we recommend using [`Recover Faces`](/image-models/gigapixel/recover-faces.md)
