### Model Overview

Denoise Max is a next-generation generative denoising model that delivers the highest quality results in the Denoise family, incorporating technology advancements from Wonder 2. It removes noise and grain with significantly reduced artifacts while intelligently sharpening blurry areas without affecting already sharp detail.

Denoise Max performs best on medium to high quality images with light noise or structured grain, and excels across a wide range of content including portraits, hazy images, and fine textures such as skin, hair, and small details.

### Best Use Cases

* **Low-light and high-ISO photos.** Clean night, indoor, concert, and event shots without flattening natural texture.
* **Portraits.** Remove sensor noise from faces while keeping skin texture, hair, and eyelashes sharp instead of waxy.
* **Wildlife and nature.** Preserve fur, feathers, and foliage detail that conventional denoisers tend to smear.
* **Hazy or slightly soft images.** Recover clarity in images that are both noisy and a little out of focus.
* **Structured or film grain.** Reduce patterned grain from scans and older sensors while keeping the underlying detail.

### Model Parameters

| Parameter  | Type      | Required / Default                           | Accepted values | Description                                                                  |
| ---------- | --------- | -------------------------------------------- | --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `model`    | `string`  | Required                                     | `"Denoise Max"` | —                                                                            |
| `strength` | `decimal` |
Optional
Default:
1.0

| `0.0` to `1.0` | How strongly noise is removed. Lower values keep more of the original grain. |

### Limitations

This model accepts up to 256 MP input and output. Denoise Max doesn't change resolution; to denoise and upscale, send the output to an upscaling model.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://developer.topazlabs.com/image-models/denoising/denoise-max.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
